Quiet day on the rumor front

Not too much action on the rumor front today, although that is to be expected on a Sunday. The 10th is 2 days away, and a lot of us are anxiously waiting to see if that is the day or not.

More and more people are speculating that the new government must be in place for a reval to take place. While this theory does make sense, that won't stop us from hoping that it happens sooner!

Just in... possible reval on January 31st!

Wow! Set up a blog about the latest greatest dinar rumors, and within a couple of hours I already have people sending in rumors. I need to setup an efficient rumor submission method, so if you know of rumors and would like them discussed on this blog, keep checking back. I will have that setup by the end of the day.

Ok, on to this new rumor. I say "new" because this is the first I have heard about it. According to an anonymous blog visitor, there is a rumor circulating about a possible revaluation of the Iraqi dinar on the 31st of January. No mention of a rate, but there was talk of the new parliament being in place by the end of the month. This particular person feels that the new parliament being in place is a major factor. Perhaps more information will be shared as we draw closer to the 31st.

Remember, this is just a rumor and I have no way of telling who the person that shared it actually is. Only time will tell if it comes to fruition.

The January 10th Rumor

There are a few rumors floating around the forums right now. A lot of eyes are focused on the 10th of January. A rumor poster has said that a revaluation of the Iraqi Dinar is possible on January 10th at a rate of .90 Euro. The 10th is only 3 days away, so we won't have to wait to long to see if this one pans out.
